Julie was born and raised in Iowa and spent 13 years in Colorado prior to relocating to Las Vegas in 2009. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting from the University of Dubuque and Master of Science in Accounting from Western Governors University-Nevada. In 2015, Julie joined MDL as the Director of Financial Services in which she brought with her over 20 years of experience in the construction industry, saving and loan industry and a local Las Vegas non profit. Julie is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Accounting department.
Accounting has been Julie’s passion since taking a bookkeeping course in high school. She enjoys all aspects of accounting, but she really enjoys account reconciliations, she hates when things don’t balance.
In her spare time, Julie rides motorcycles with her husband and a group of Marine and Navy veterans. She is also an assistant coach for her son’s Special Olympic swim team. Julie’s hobbies include reading, learning, spending time with family and friends, hiking and camping. Julie completed a hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon 2 weeks after joining MDL.
