They remember when land was cheap, banks were local, and “being overdrawn” was just part of the job.

Real estate is both glorious and grueling. There’s rarely a day that feels “finished,” but when the deal finally closes, the satisfaction is unmatched. They’ve seen booms, busts, and brokerages rise and fall, and each story carries the same theme of resilience.

Family, Mentors, and Making a Life

For Kevin, his father, Dr. Buckley, shaped his worldview. A respected physician who believed money distracted from purpose, Dr. Buckley taught his children to work hard, stay humble, and give back.

For David, mentorship came through the business — from colleagues, clients, and partners who showed him the importance of honesty, humility, and humor. “If your outflow exceeds your inflow,” he jokes, “down you go.”
