One of the themes that has been called forward in my life over the last 18 months is how life and success are very much like running – as in running a 5K or marathon.

I wrote a 6 part series on this theme and shared it over a 3 month period,  with the wonderful people of MDL Group, via a weekly internal email.

We call the internal email The Daily Thought!

Here is a 6 part series on how life and success are like running.

You decide that you’re a runner in the same way you decide that you are successful.

That mindset becomes part of your identity.

It propels you to do things you wouldn’t otherwise do.

When you don’t feel like running, you run anyway, because you’re a runner.

Runners run.

They run when it’s cold.

They run when it’s dark.

That’s what runners do.

Just like successful people.

When they don’t feel like doing the work, they do it anyway, because they are successful.

They do the work when it’s hard.

They do the work even when its seems impossible.

Deciding you are successful is just as easy as deciding you are a runner.
