As the broker for SafeNest, Jarrad Katz, SIOR, CCIM, MDL Group President and Principal, played a crucial role in securing the location for One Safe Place, ensuring that this vital resource could come to life in a space that is accessible and welcoming. During the unveiling ceremony, Jarrad had the honor of speaking about the importance of this initiative and the collaborative effort that made it possible. One Safe Place is set to open its doors by October 30, offering a centralized hub where survivors can access survivor-focused services such as legal support, counseling, emergency shelter referrals, and other essential services under one roof. Also, in an effort to end the cycle of violence, One Safe Place will be the first campus in the U.S. to provide services for abusive partners.
This project represents a historic commitment by the state of Nevada to end domestic and sexual violence, marking the largest one-time investment in the state’s history toward survivor support. The facility’s trauma-informed environment and multi-agency approach will ensure that individuals and families receive the care and protection they need to safely rebuild their lives.
