For as long as anyone can remember, our Co-Founder Carol Cline-Ong, has hosted a kids’ tree trimming event, and this year was no exception. On Friday evening, December 6th, we welcomed 31 kids to our office for an evening filled with joy and festive activities. The night starts with the kids enthusiastically decorating the Christmas tree in the MDL lobby. Then they head into the kitchen to decorate cookies made specially for each of them by Jarrad Katz’s mother-in-law, Nancy. Nothing beats homemade cookies and frosting!
Our holiday “feast” was just as memorable, featuring two of the largest pizzas you’ve ever seen—so big we had to tilt the boxes to get them through the door! The chicken fingers were equally impressive, more like “ostrich arms” in size.
The highlight of the evening was the magical moment when Carol received a phone call from Santa. She does this every year, and every year, Carol has everyone in the room believing she was actually talking to Santa, even the adults!
But Carol’s escapade didn’t end there, as she had the kids run outside with her and around the building looking for Rudolph’s red nose and sniffing the air for reindeer. Although they just missed Santa—it seems they “just miss” him every year—he left a special, wrapped gift for each of the 31 children under the MDL tree. As always, Carol’s special touches made Santa’s presence felt, bringing the magic of the holidays to life for everyone involved!
